Sushi Drop Tournament

Sushi Drop Tournament is a skill-based number puzzle developed and published by UNIT5, a casual game studio based in Seoul, South Korea. It was released in 2022 for iOS and Android and is the competitive version of Sushi Drop, running on the Skillz platform where fair play is the rule and every player has a chance at a win no matter their level of ability. The game is free to download and carries a 17+ content rating.

You drop a sushi tile onto another tile carrying the same number and the two merge into a higher sushi cube — the same family of ideas as 2248, 2468 and 1024, served on a conveyor belt. The goal is to build up to a 2048 sushi block, and past it lie x2 combos and the kind of deliberate stacking that keeps a crowded board alive far longer than it should be.

Clearing several blocks in a single drop pays a bonus, and filling the fever gauge grants boosters: a bomb that removes a tile you no longer want, and a level-up booster that promotes a block one step higher. In a competitive match every player is dealt the same layout, so the higher score wins on play rather than luck.

Skillz handles the competition. You can play head to head or enter large tournaments, and the matching algorithm pairs you with real opponents of similar skill rather than bots. Play free for in-game currency and redeem it for prizes in the Skillz reward store, or make a deposit and play cash matches, with Venmo and PayPal handling withdrawals. Cash prize tournaments are not available in AR, CT, DE, LA and SD; players in those regions can still compete for fun with virtual currency.
