Number Connect Tournament

Number Connect Tournament is a skill-based number puzzle developed and published by UNIT5, a casual game studio based in Seoul, South Korea. Released in 2025 for iOS and Android, it is the competitive version of Number Connect and runs on the Skillz platform, where fair play is the rule and every player has a chance at a win no matter their level of ability. The game is free to download and carries a 17+ content rating.

The game takes the addictive mechanics of 2048 and changes how tiles come together. Instead of sliding the whole board you swipe through neighbouring tiles that carry the same number — in any of eight directions, diagonals included — and the entire chain merges into a higher value. Keep merging and the numbers climb; plan the route well and a single move clears a large part of the board.

The controls are simple to learn and stay fluid under pressure, but every move counts when the board tightens. Deciding which chain to take and which tiles to leave for later is what separates a massive combo from a dead position, and the animations are tuned so a long merge still reads clearly at speed.

Skillz handles the competition: head-to-head matches and large tournaments, with the matching algorithm pairing you against real opponents of similar skill rather than bots. Everyone in a match starts from the same board, so the higher score wins. Play free for in-game currency and redeem it for prizes in the Skillz reward store, or make a deposit and play cash matches, with Venmo and PayPal handling withdrawals. Cash prize tournaments are not available in AR, AZ, CT, DE, LA, MT, SC, SD and TN; players in those regions can still compete for fun with virtual currency.
